We collect only what we need to run our games, the developer portal and this website:
- Store & Platform Accounts: Your account ID on the store or platform you play through (for example Steam, Apple Game Center or Google Play Games), and IP addresses in server logs.
- Anonymous Game Events: Our games can send anonymous events, such as a session starting, an achievement unlocking or a purchase completing. They are tied to a random install ID, not to you. Your achievements and stats themselves are kept by the store you play on.
- Purchases: Store transaction tokens to unlock downloadable content. We never receive or store your credit card information. Payments are processed entirely by the storefront where you bought the game.
- Developer Portal Sign-In: If you sign in to our developer portal with Steam, Google, Apple, Microsoft, GitHub, Discord or another provider, we receive your account ID, display name, avatar and, where you allow it, your email.
2. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
We use this information to unlock and restore your purchases, understand which content and achievements players use, run the developer portal, and answer your support requests.
3. STORE & SIGN-IN SERVICES
Our games use each store's own services for purchases, achievements and cloud saves, such as Apple StoreKit, Google Play Billing and Play Games, and Steamworks. Those stores handle that data under their own privacy policies.
4. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our games aren't made for children under 13, and each game carries the age rating its stores assign. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email legal@thinkingoveraiming.com and we'll delete it.
5. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
To access, correct or delete your records, email legal@thinkingoveraiming.com with your in-game player ID or storefront username. We respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under Canada's PIPEDA, the GDPR (EU/UK) or US state privacy laws, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
6. THIS WEBSITE
This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores your language choice in your browser. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which keeps standard server logs. If you contact us, sign up for news or send a pitch, what you send is stored on AWS servers in Canada and used only to respond to you or, for the newsletter, to send it. You can ask us to delete it at any time. Newsletters go only to people who subscribe, and every one has an unsubscribe link, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires.
